Have you ever seen something for the first time that up to that time you had missed? It was there, but you had not seen it? New life is all around us every day. It might come in the wisdom of a friend who points out the obvious. It might come through a simple lesson from the heart of a child. It might come through an appropriate word or service.
Some of that life is unpleasant and even unwanted. Life may go on all right for a while, when suddenly a bereavement comes, or some crisis; unrequited love or a new love, a disaster, a business collapse, or a shocking failure.
However life is defined today for us today, may it be accepted as a tool to awaken us to what we have missed. Stop and embrace this day and all that makes it today. Make course corrections, forgive, reach out, do the hard thing. Keep your heart open and willing.
