Jesus, the same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Oh the joy to know that God’s work for me is 100%, not 99%. Chuck Swindoll wrote:

According to some fine research by Natalie Gabal, if 99.9% were considered good enough, then this year alone . . . 2,000,000 documents would be lost by the IRS; 12 babies would be given to the wrong parents each day; 291 pacemaker operations would be performed incorrectly; 20,000 incorrect drug prescriptions would be written (to cite just a few examples).

And, as He has been 100% in the past and future, He is today. Psalm 103 says:

who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed,
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us,
But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children
The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all

When I read the Psalms, I see people whose hearts face the same things I do. In Psalm 31, David faces his enemies and their plots by running to his Lord for protection because the Lord does what is right as his rock and fortress. He trusts in the One who is 100% eternally trustworthy, loving and strong. The same God is mine.

This same Jesus lovingly nourishes as a mother and compassionately guides as a father.

Lord, You are 100% all the time for me. Thank you for your healing, nourishing, guiding and supplying. Thank you for being trustworthy, loving and strong for me.
