…with sincere hearts fully trusting Him…

…let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. Hebrews 10:22

I can because he did. Through the death of Jesus Christ I can enter into the very presence of God and intercede. The privilege is never about me but always about him. I can intercede for others when my and God’s interests and concerns for others are aligned. I can intercede for others because he interceded for me.

This kneeling posture prepares me to witness to those for whom I am interceding.  I can now present the truth of God so that the Spirit of God will reveal what is wrong or what needs to be done. So many times He reveals what must be unlearned. When the truth is presented, the Spirit of God brings each person face to face with God Himself. It is here that true transformation happens.

Fully trusting the Lord with a sincere heart means that I live in the liberty that comes from realizing the absolute control and authority of Jesus Christ. A sincere heart always measures life solely by the standards of Jesus. Liberty with a sincere heart affects my relationship with others, too.

It takes God a long time to get us to stop thinking that unless everyone sees things exactly as we do, they must be wrong. Oswald Chambers

From Galations 5, a little test:

If you are counting on ______________ to make you right with God, then Christ will be of no benefit to you. I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by _______________, you are trying to make yourselves right with God … You have fallen away from God’s grace.

We fall away, drift off course from the liberty of grace and run aground. A ship which has run aground is no longer free to be what it was made to be. Why would I want to be stuck in the mud when I could be free on the ocean? Submitting to the absolute control and authority of Jesus Christ sets me free.

Only with trusting freedom can I love Him personally, passionately, and with great devotion. My love for Him must go far beyond any of the closest relationships on earth. The call to discipleship is a call to sincere hearts fully trusting Him.

Lord, you gave your all for me. Help me give my all for you. May my trust in you be strong and vigorous and confidently secured on the truth that you are holy love.
