‘Ino (storms)

Morning after
Morning after

Storms come when expected and at unexpected times. Avoiding them is not possible. How to go through storms is the challenge. Knowing that the Lord is my rock stabilizes me when the winds and waves come. He sends storms to show me his strength and grace. My faith is strengthened during these times.

Stormy days reveal his purpose for my life. At times I think I see it clearly but realize that all I am seeing is the scaffolding. Storms remove the facades of my life.

Storms show me that my life with him is not defined by the work I do, but the relationship we have and the surrounding influence and qualities produced by that relationship. Storms invite me into his safety; they help me stay near to him.

Behind every storm is the purpose of God, shaping me into oneness with him. It’s an amazing cause of unity. I trust in my Lord’s wisdom and in the middle of the storm I find a simple calm. Storms bring me to his heart like nothing else.
