‘Olu ‘olu (comfort)

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

IMG_1832Today’s troubles, hurts

Things which are seen, temporal

They come to a close

Strength for every day

Focusing not on the seen

But on what is not

Look up and beyond

Today’s valleys, He is there

Tomorrow’s glory

Lord, help me look up and beyond the here and now to the there and then. I realize that it is not an escape from today but a strength for today when I consider the temporary and eternal.
