Ho’omalu (protection)

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:35‬

Ho’omalu means shade, shelter, peace, control, strength and protection. It is a love that brings another under care and protection.

Aloha love is not a memory of the past to warm our thoughts. It is a uninterrupted, ongoing relationship with no separation. Jesus Christ’s aloha to his children is a mighty loving that does not always rescue us from calamity but unceasingly protects and preserves us for everlasting joy in his presence even through suffering and death.
