Kalana (forgiveness)

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,”  says the Lord. Romans 12:19

Kalana means forgiveness and release. It means that when we forgive, there is a permanent release of the wrongs said or done.

Forgiveness is an act of the will to let go. When you lay down the burden of vengeance, God will pick it up. Only the Lord knows the heart behind the hurt; therefore, only He can fully deal with it. When we forgive, releasing the hurt and its cause to the Lord, we are freed to love and move forward.

Not holding hurts, wrongs or wounds

But releasing them

Free to love again

God picks up all my burden

Kalana living

Lord, only you know the heart behind action. You know why people hurt others. In fact, hurt people hurt people. Bring healing to everyone involved in every hurt. Help me release the hurt into your hands and move forward with a loving heart.
