“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of (lack) God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ “And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.” Romans‬ ‭1:23‬

Every time I sin I exchange glorifying God for glorifying myself. I choose what I see in the mirror; I choose to reflect myself not the Lord. I make my own god to worship, a creation instead of the Creator. What a horrible exchange! I was created to worship; the question always before me is who will it be?

Ho’omana means worship, power, to place in authority. It can also mean fork in the road.

Lord, the choice, “Who is my God?” is always before me. Every decision or action rests upon how I answer this question. Help me today to glorify you alone. Free me from contentment with mud puddles so I can enjoy your day at the sea.
