Bringing tomorrow into today

In that day the branch of the LORD shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and honor of the survivors of Israel. Isaiah 4:2

There will be a day that the Lord will be seen and worshipped as glorious. The cleansing work will be done and a creative work begun. This is the final victory.

In your presence there is fullness of joy,” the psalmist says. “At your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Ps. 16:11).

Until that time, I can worship him and begin to offer a foretaste of what he will receive. I can live that day, now.

Jesus, you are eager to repair the damage that I have caused. You are eager to forgive, restore, recommission. Help me receive your grace and worship you today as all will then.
