Fear has gripped hearts. Does God have a word for the fearful? Yes!
Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint… – Isaiah 7:4
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. – Isaiah 7:14
Into my fears the Lord comes with counsel, promise and presence. Then, he gives me choice…will I trust him? Will I believe? Believing God stabilizes and not believing God destabilizes.
If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all. – Isaiah 7:9
Lord, I see many examples of those who trusted you; they were blessed. And, I see others who did not trust you; they were not blessed. So, my choice is to trust you by entrusting everything to your care. Thank you Lord for you word, promises and presence.
