I, the LORD, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day; – Isaiah 27:3
In the setting of ultimate victory is the Lord’s intimate care for his people. Oh, the pleasure he must experience as he cares for his own now, before this final victory. But, how much more will he enjoy caring for us when we are solely his. A divided heart, gone. A wayward attention, focused. A doubting heart no more. No more need to cleanse and forgive.
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I’ll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
